Our new blue ray player...

We were going to get couches this Memorial Day. We decided to wait a little while longer and save some more money. We bought a blue ray player instead. Amazing. Real life is not as clear as this is!

Oh to be old and senile!

I work as an nursing assistant on the rehab wing at Sunshine Terrace. There is a board on the wing I work on where people write funny things the residents say from time to time. Here are some of my favorites:

"It's raining pitchforks and wagon wheels out there!"

"I'll have to go out to the curb with the birds and eat soggy worms!"

"You know, if I don't get into that bathroom right now those possums aren't going to be very happy. "

"Hey honey... you feeling lucky tonight? I'll have you know I'm a dream machine!"

Me: "Are you trying to give me a kiss?!"
Old guy: "Yes!" sheepish smile
Me: "I don't think my husband would like that very much!"
Old guy: "He doesn't have to know!"

More Dance Dance

This wouldn't fit on my last post but I thought it was worth putting up!
P.S Casey told me I was a dead girl if I posted these... Nice knowing you all!

And then we went here... and then we did this... blah blah blah

Disclaimer: Don't worry this is not a lame travel log. Well I hope it's not anyways.

We spent Memorial Day weekend down at Casey's parents house. There was good times to be had by all.

Dance Dance Revolution

We went boating. There's a no dog rule on the boat but we had to make an exception this time. Lu's a sailor! She sailed! Ahoy! (Name that movie!)

Stop and smell the gerber daisies!

My husband is a sweet guy! I let him read that spouse post that I wrote a few days ago. He read the part where I said I get flowers "enough" and I think he felt bad. I got home from work two nights ago and found that he had planted flowers in the two boxes by our door, our pot, and he had hung two hanging pots! What a good guy huh?

Dashboard Confessional

I was in high school when I first heard Dashboard. I listened to every CD over and over til I was sick of it! Today I heard Swiss Army Romance on the radio and it brought me back! I love it! So this week's playlist is all Dashboard. Hope you enjoy it!

Wordless Wednesday

So it hasn't been all that wordless but I have a pic none the less. This is from National Geographic!

Potty update...

Ironically a few days after my potty post I had a potty experience. I work at American Eagle (so fun!). And we have the walkie talkie, with earpieces (makes me feel so cool I'm not gonna lie). Long story short our manager used the walkie talkie to ask one of the girls to come out from the back and ring up a customer. The girl responded (over the walkie talkie) "I'm peeing right now give me one second!" AH!!! Sick! Please don't talk in my ear when your pants are down around your ankles!

Watch out National Geographic

The weather has been AWESOME! I love the sunshine! Lulu loves to lay out in the sun too! Funny thing is, there is a hawk in the area... When we were outside he flew overhead. Once he got over us he started to circle! I think he was hunting Lu! Ah! Here's some pics for ya...

This piece of grass was in her teeth for like an hour.

American Idol

WTF?

For Brenda, with love...

I redid my purple hair again but we added another color. I wanted you to see it! It looks way better in person cause you can't see all the color in the pic. You'll just have to see for yourself in July! Love you tons Bren! (eww mushy :) )

This one looks all blue. It's not. It is violet and turquoise.

This is a little better but the color is all over not just in my bangs. It's hot if I do say so myself!

The dingo ate my homework ...

Let me just put this out there... I have stuffed animals. I'm a 23 year old married woman and I still sleep with stuffed animals. Well, just one actually. I have three but I rotate who I sleep with so the other ones don't get jealous. Don't act surprised, if you've been reading this blog long enough you should already know I'm a wierdo. It's ok, you are too!

Alright, on with the main event...

Let's just say Lulu was lucky that Casey discovered this little scene before I did. I should preface this by saying that our darling little pup has never in her short little life ever chewed on anything but her approved toys. Never eaten a shoe, couch, nothing. Casey came home the other day and this is what he found...

That would be my stethescope... well, pieces of it anyways. She looks so guilty doesn't she? I guess she just wants to be a nurse just like her mom!

You probably noticed the three darling little "patients". This isn't the first time we've come home to find them strewn about the house. She's never assaulted one though and I'm glad that she didn't pick this day to play surgeon (for any of you that know her you know her reputation with stuffed doggy toys... for those of you who don't here's an example...)

Can I be anymore awkward?

I have a huge public potty phobia. Yes I know most of you are already nodding your head. It's not what your thinking. While I am terrified of all the sickos who don't wash their hands, and I layer the seat protectors like ten thick... it's more than that.

I hate holding a conversation in the bathroom. You know girls. Chances are that if we're using a public restroom our gal pal has accompanied us and is in the next stall. Please ladies, do not talk to me. I beg you. It just feels wrong. Let's just pretend we're all alone. The only exception being if you need me to "spare a sqaure" (name that show!)if which case I will happily hand it over with no further discussion.

Psycho issue #2 I hate when I'm in the bathroom and someone knocks... I freeze! PANIC!!! Palms sweating, heart racing...What do I say? "Occupied?" Oh my gosh lame. "I'm in here..." Even worse. I hate it!!!

Conversely, I also hate when I am the knocker! I really just don't want to converse with someone while they are "in there". What a freak right?

Well with that in mind I present you with one of the single most traumatic events ever! I was at the hospital on Thursday night for one of my clinical shifts. There was a staff bathroom on the unit. It has a keypad on it. I asked the clerk for the code and she gave it to me. I punched in the code and entered the bathroom. I'm relaxing, doing my thing, and all of the sound the door opens! In walks my nurse! AH!!! AH! AH! So bad! Obviously as soon as she realized the potty was "occupied" she high tailed it out of there but the damage was done. I was mortified. What's worse I had to spend the rest of the night with this woman! Words cannot explain how awkward I felt the rest of the night. No one said a word about it the rest of the night but we both knew she had seen me with my pants around my ankles! Ugh!

P.S Apparently you have to push this little metal button on the top of the key pad to lock the door! My hell! Thanks for the heads up! I'm never using the bathroom again.

Nah nah nah nah... hey hey hey... goodbye!

My hubby has the most adorable curly locks. I love when he let's his hair get long enough to reach his ears and curl a little. I like something to run my fingers through if you know what I mean. The problem is, bless his heart, he just doesn't know when to quit! Last year in Lake Powell it had nearly reached his shoulders! He earned the nickname "Rufio" from the movie Hook. He buzzed it that week and has since let it grow out again. It got past the cute point a couple months ago and I kept telling him he should cut it! The other night, after a little "arrangement" (of which I will spare you the details :))he decided to cut it! It was insane how much hair was left in the sink. We decide to round it up, toss it in a bag, and doorbell ditch our neighbors with it!

Sick!

Introducing my godson!

My great gal pal got a puppy! His name is Scout and we happen to share a birthday. He is so stinkin' cute! He looks like a baby hyena... but in a good way! Lulu and him are pretty much a couple! It's adorable. Erin didn't have any pictures from her first day as a mommy so I thought I'd post the two that I have. Here Foxy!

I am bored!

I know these things are sometimes boring to read but seeing as how recently I've taken to not listening to a word in class... this seems like something to occupy my time! Enjoy, repost if you feel the inkling...

It's Britney B****...

How long has it been since the concert and I'm just barely writing about it?

I am dedicating the blog this week to my dear friend Britney who basically rocked! It was the funnest night ever! She looked great! You could tell she was singing and I have to admit she sounded amazing! I always said, "she may not sing well but she can entertain!" Well I take it back! She was so awesome! Let's be honest, it was raunchy, kinky, over the top but I loved it! You're getting a ton of pics because I want to share the joy!

The costumes were one of the best parts. I cannot believe how many costume changes there were. But never fear because while we waited we were entertained by circus performers. They weren't your average circus acts either. It was the tops!

Let me ask you... if you think "Britney Spears concert", what comes to mind? I think for most of us it's girls between the ages of 10 and 30 grooving to the tunes! Dancing, freaking out and what not. Makes sense right? You would think so. Somehow Erin and I got the seats next to the only fuddy duddies in the whole place! They flank us on both sides and just glared at us everytime we got up to dance. HELLO?! Britney Spears! Why wouldn't you be on your feet? Seriously?

Besides the fuddies were the creepos. In the seats behind us was Chester and Chester Jr. Middle aged man and his 13 year old son. Equipped with binoculars. So so so gross. (Brenda does this remind you of anyone?)

Anyways I didn't bring my camera because at other concerts they wouldn't let us bring it in. Apparently you can to Britney but oh well. These are better anyways... enjoy!

Gimme gimme, more more... sorry it was hard to resist...
